Open Softball League is similar to conventional NSA rules. It is expected that this league will take on a more competitive style.
- Open rosters and batting order; while both men and women are welcome, there is no alternating batting requirement nor gender minimums for the roster, and no special gender-oriented rules. All rules apply equally to all players.
- Standard NSA bat requirements. Players may use any NSA- or ASA- approved bat, including composite and multi wall bats, provided it is officially marked
